The highly anticipated Apple Watch Ultra 3 release timeline has been confirmed, and it’s set to make waves in the tech world. Unlike its predecessors, the Apple Watch Ultra series has followed a different launch pattern. The first-generation Ultra debuted in September 2022, followed by the second iteration in September 2023, with a recent addition of a new color variant, titanium black.

Now, all signs point to the upcoming release of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 in autumn 2025. This new model is expected to rival the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and other top-tier smartwatches. Supplier analyst Jeff Pu from GF Securities in Hong Kong has provided valuable insights that support this timeline.

According to Pu’s projections, Apple is gearing up to unveil three key products in 2025: the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and the much-anticipated HomePad 6″. Additionally, the roadmap hints at the release timing for a range of other innovative products, including the AirPods Pro 3, Apple Watch Series 12, Vision Pro, Vision, Air, Smart Glasses, and an Apple Watch equipped with blood monitoring capabilities.

If Pu’s analysis holds true, we can expect the Ultra 3 to launch alongside the Series 11, possibly in September alongside the iPhone 17 lineup. The upcoming generation is rumored to transition to third-generation mobile communications and feature direct satellite connectivity, offering users an enhanced experience.

While speculations have circulated regarding a new display integrating micro-LED technology, its inclusion remains uncertain at this stage. Apple also faces legal challenges, particularly concerning the activation of a banned feature in the USA: oxygen measurement. Users have expressed a strong preference for retaining this functionality, emphasizing its importance alongside battery performance.

In early 2024, Apple had to disable the oxygen saturation measurement on the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 in the US due to an ongoing patent dispute with Masimo, a US-based company. Once these legal issues are resolved, users are hopeful for the reinstatement of this critical feature.

As the tech landscape continues to evolve, the upcoming release of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 promises to deliver cutting-edge features and functionalities that will set a new standard in the smartwatch market. Stay tuned for further updates on this highly anticipated release, as Apple continues to push the boundaries of innovation and user experience.
