Google fans eagerly awaiting the release of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Pixel Watch 4 might have to exercise a bit more patience. Recent reports suggest that Google is facing production challenges, leading to potential delays for these highly anticipated smart devices.

According to sources cited by Winfuture, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a are all expected to be announced alongside the rest of the Google Pixel 10 range on August 20. However, these devices might not hit the shelves until October 9 due to supply chain issues.

While delays are never ideal, it’s worth noting that last year’s Pixel models also experienced staggered releases. The Pixel Watch 3 and Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, for instance, launched a few weeks after the Pixel 9. Therefore, the purported two-week delay for the new devices isn’t unprecedented.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is rumored to offer significant upgrades, including a new display, hinge system, IP68-rated construction, and Qi2 compatibility. These advancements could explain the need for extra time in production to ensure a seamless user experience.

As for the Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a, the reasons behind their potential delays remain unclear. Perhaps Google has some surprises in store for these devices that require additional fine-tuning before their launch.

It’s essential for Google to prioritize quality and performance over rushed releases. By addressing any production challenges now, Google can ensure that when the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Pixel Watch 4 finally arrive in consumers’ hands, they will deliver on the promise of innovation and excellence.
