Huawei is making waves in the tech world once again with its upcoming release of the Huawei Mate XTs – a second-generation tri-fold foldable smartphone. Scheduled for unveiling on September 4th, Huawei is poised to beat Samsung to the punch, as the latter is yet to reveal its first tri-fold device.

In a teaser video shared by Huawei’s CEO, Richard Yu, the Mate XTs flaunts a sleek white finish with a gold frame, showcasing its innovative design. The device is rumored to boast a Kirin 9020 chip for enhanced performance, along with a new 50MP main camera featuring a variable aperture and a periscope telephoto camera.

Having previously reviewed the original Huawei Mate XT, we were impressed by its cutting-edge hardware and impressive camera capabilities. However, the absence of Google Play Store and Google services due to Western sanctions posed a significant drawback. Despite this, Huawei’s unique approach to foldable technology sets it apart in the market.

With Samsung’s rumored release of the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold on the horizon, the competition in the foldable smartphone arena is heating up. Huawei’s innovation and commitment to pushing boundaries in design and functionality make the Mate XTs a device to watch out for in the ever-evolving landscape of mobile technology.
