The Chief Product Officer, Pete Lau, revealed that the Find N5 will boast an IPX9 water-resistance rating, surpassing the IPX8 ratings seen on devices like the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Huawei Mate X6.
This latest revelation follows Lau showcasing the Find N5 next to a competitor, highlighting its seamless main screen devoid of any creases. The absence of a dust rating (indicated by the X) differentiates it from the IP48-rated Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The IPX9 rating signifies the Find N5’s ability to withstand powerful high-temperature water jets, complementing the IPX8 certification for submersion under 1m of water. Lau described it as “immensely durable, rain or shine,” hinting at the phone’s rugged build.
